Sometimes when I’m creating summary tiles for Tableau dashboards, I like to add arrows or percent increases/decreases to let consumers know how current values relate to the comparison period.
I often find the easiest way to pull this off is by using table calculation filters to hide the value from the previous period while retaining the ability to reference that value in a calculated field.
