How to Keep Line End Labels from Overlapping Lines in Tableau

Have you ever run into a situation in Tableau where you add labels to the ends of your lines, only to find out those labels are overlapping the lines and are borderline illegible?

That’s an annoying issue, but thankfully there is a fix. With custom calculations and a couple reference lines, we can ensure there is enough buffer at the beginning and end of the lines for the labels not to overlap the line itself.
