So you’re building a pie chart, huh? You’ve ignored all the naysayers and pie chart haters and you’re going to build it anyways. Good for you!

Pie charts have some weakness which make them difficult visuals for comparing segments. The slices don’t have a shared baseline, they don’t have labels by default, and the slices are often sorted alphabetically.
