No! This post is not a mistake. It really is our third blog post in the last four years detailing how to transpose values in Tableau Prep. The tool is rapidly evolving, and the good new is that the process of transposing values is becoming more seamless each time.

Because of the inclusion of the new Rank function in Tableau Prep calculations, it’s no longer necessary to create a pivot field outside of Tableau Prep. This is great news because it means every step in transposing your data can now be done in Tableau Prep! Check out the video below to learn how.
